Director of Food Safety/Quality Assurance/Technical Services
Bob Mills is the Director of Food Safety & Technical Services for Misionero in Gonzales, California, and an adjunct instructor for Hartnell College. Bob has worked for nearly 52 years in the food industry, having worked in a wide range of food disciplines including fresh and fresh-cut vegetables, wine production, frozen and dehydrated vegetables, spices, restaurant, dairy, pickles, dressings, canned meats, and chips and snacks. He currently serves on the United Fresh Food Safety & Technology Council and both the California and Arizona Leafy Greens Marketing Agreements Technical Committees. Bob received his Master of Science in Food Technology and Bachelor of Science in Microbiology/Zoology, both from the University of Minnesota. Bob believes there is no such thing as too much education and learning. He enjoys teaching to others and strongly believes in-class interaction/participation and the thoughts, opinions, and knowledge of others. In his spare time, Bob enjoys teaching adult Boy Scout Leaders, golfing, wine tasting, and traveling.
