Samuel D. “Sammy” Duda
President, Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc.
Based at the company’s west coast office in Salinas, California, Sammy Duda is President of Duda Farm Fresh Foods, Inc., and a Corporate Senior Vice President of A. Duda & Sons, Inc. He is responsible for all aspects of Duda’s fresh vegetable business including growing, harvesting, sales and marketing for the company’s U.S. growing locations in Salinas, Santa Maria & Oxnard, CA, Yuma, AZ, Belle Glade, FL and growing locations in Georgia & Michigan. He is also responsible for Duda Farm Fresh Foods’ fresh cut facility in Oxnard, California as well as managing the company’s variety licensing programs in the U.K., Spain and Australia.
A fourth generation member of the Duda family, Mr. Duda began his career with the company as a supervisor trainee following his graduation in 1985 from Mississippi State, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Economics. He gained production management experience in Texas, and in 1992 was appointed Desert Operations Manager in Yuma, Arizona. He was appointed General Manager of West Coast Operations in 1999, Vice President in 2001 and Corporate Vice President in 2009 Senior Vice President in 2017 and President in 2020.
Mr. Duda currently serves on the Board of Directors of Western Growers Association where he was Chairman of the Board in 2017 He is a board member of the California Iceberg Lettuce Coop, and has served on the boards of the Grower-Shipper Association of Central California, California Leafy Greens Research Advisory Board and past president of the Yuma Vegetable Shippers Board.
