Sarah Lopez, Executive Director of Central Coast Water Quality Preservation, Inc.
Sarah Lopez is the Executive Director of Central Coast Water Quality Preservation, Inc. (“Preservation, Inc.”), which is a grower-directed non-profit that helps Central Coast farmers comply with the Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program, or Ag Order. Prior to becoming the E.D. in 2018, Sarah was the Technical Program Manager for Preservation, Inc. from 2007 through 2017. Sarah holds a B.S. from the University of Michigan and an M.S. from the University of Maryland. Her graduate training and research focused on nitrogen and phosphorus biogeochemistry. Sarah lives in north Monterey county and also raises and markets small livestock, and serves as an agricultural representative on the Sanctuary Advisory Council for the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
