Tim York’s extensive career in the agriculture sector that spans almost fifty years has now placed him as the CEO of the Leafy Greens Marketing Association (LGMA). Under his direction the LGMA stands as a respected food safety watchdog for 99% of the leafy greens grown in California. During his tenure, the LGMA has implemented new programs including pre harvest testing of romaine products, expanded food safety standards and the introduction of a dedicated food safety compliance officer.
Conrad Choiniere, PhD, is the Director of the Office of Microbiological Food Safety which has the responsibility of developing and implementing strategies for the prevention of foodborne illness. With over 20 years at FDA, 14 of those in foods, he has extensive experience leading FDA regulatory initiatives. Prior to his current role, Dr. Choiniere served as the Acting Deputy Director for Regulatory Affairs for the former Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), overseeing food safety,
